Checking Your Xbox Gift Card Balance
So, you’ve got an Xbox gift card burning a hole in your pocket? Well, before you start buying all those awesome games and add-ons, it’s a good idea to check your gift card balance.
Step 1: Scratch It!
First things first, you need to locate the scratch-off code on the back of your gift card. It’s usually hidden under a silver or gray strip. Grab a coin or your trusty fingernail and start scratching! Just be careful not to scratch too hard, or you might damage the code.
Step 2: Visit the Xbox Website
Once you’ve revealed the code, go to the Xbox website on your computer or mobile device. On the top navigation bar, click on the ‘Sign In’ button and enter your Microsoft account information. If you don’t have an account, you can create one for free.
Step 3: Redeem Code
After you’ve signed in, click on your profile picture or avatar on the top right corner of the screen. From the drop-down menu, select ‘Redeem Code.’ This will take you to the ‘Redeem your code’ page.
Step 4: Enter the Code
On the ‘Redeem your code’ page, you’ll see a box where you can enter your gift card code. Carefully type in the code that you scratched off the back of your gift card. Double check for any typos to ensure you don’t accidentally redeem someone else’s code.
Step 5: Check Your Balance
Once you’ve entered your code, hit the ‘Next’ button. This will take you to a confirmation page where you can review the details of your gift card redemption. If successful, you’ll see the amount of your gift card balance.
And there you have it! Checking your Xbox gift card balance is as easy as 1-2-3…or rather, 1-2-3-4-5. Now you can shop ’til you drop (or until your balance drops, at least).
